"Edwina has been such a gift in my writing life. She’s kind, patient, steady, and somehow always knows how to pull me out of the weeds when I’m sure my story is falling apart. Her encouragement has kept me going more times than I can count, and I honestly don’t think I’d still be writing this book without her.
She doesn’t just coach the writing—she cares about the writer. And that shows in every conversation, every note, and every nudge in the right direction. I’m so grateful for her guidance, her belief in me, and her gentle way of making me better.
I absolutely recommend her to anyone who needs a coach who truly comes alongside you."
Targeted Feedback & Critiques
UK/Ireland Cultural & Linguistic Critique $325
I grew up in the land of C. S. Lewis’s birth, live here, and have also spent a number of years living in Wales and Scotland, and have visited England a lot. I've grown up with British and Irish media, culture, and systems. All this has afforded me a first-hand experience of all things Irish and British.
Writing a story set in Ireland or the UK, or featuring British/Irish characters? I will read your manuscript and provide a detailed report on local authenticity, dialect accuracy, cultural nuances, and setting details—along with actionable suggestions for improvement.
"Edwina Kiernan's review of my manuscript was stellar! The nuances between Irish, Scottish, and English dialects are so difficult for a non-native to grasp. She offered insight into where my Irish characters were sounding too Scottish, provided suggestions for how to revise, and even helped me craft names more suitable for some of my characters. Thanks to her expertise, my Irish-American historical heroine is layered with an authenticity I never would have been able to give her on my own. I highly recommend Edwina to anyone looking to take their Irish characters from caricature to credible."
